Bio-Waves Inc. has conducted a variety of research, survey, monitoring, and mitigation projects.
Pacific Orcinus Distribution Surveys (PODS)
These vessel-based surveys of killer whales are conducted each spring in the ‘outer coastal’ waters of the Northwest Pacific by Dr. Brad Hanson from NOAA’s-Northwest Fisheries Science Center in Seattle. Bio-waves developed and operates the passive acoustic monitoring system to detect and track killer whales for this multi-year research effort. Continue >>>
